Best time to visit — March–May for clear skies and blossom, and October–early December for the sharpest Kanchenjunga views. Monsoon (June–September) brings landslides on the hill roads; deep winter is cold with occasional snow.

Traveller reviews

  • Kashmir with Bundelkhand Pride was a dream — the houseboat, the Gulmarg gondola, the Shikara at sunset. Every detail was handled.

Questions about this trip

Will I definitely see Kanchenjunga?

Views depend on weather — clearest in autumn and spring. Tiger Hill at sunrise gives the best odds. We plan it early in the trip so there's a second chance if day one is cloudy.

What's the deal with the Tsomgo Lake permit?

Sikkim requires a permit and a registered local vehicle for the lake, arranged a day ahead with your ID. We handle the paperwork; just carry original photo ID and passport-size photos.

Can we add Nathula Pass?

Sometimes — Nathula needs a separate permit, is closed some days, and isn't guaranteed. If it's open and available for your dates we'll add it at extra cost.
